Bobby Mills is a designer and craftsperson with a strong connection to the ancient trees of the British landscape.⁠ Bobby works exclusively with locally-grown timber, often sourcing windblown trees whose natural life cycle has already ended. Increasingly acquiring whole trees rather than pre-milled boards, Bobby engages with each tree in its entirety, responding carefully to its proportions, grain and natural edge.⁠ Influenced by the Sussex countryside and traditional building methods learned from his father, Bobby creates exceptional sculptural furniture using traditional joinery techniques, including mortise and tenon joints and hand-cut butterfly keys.⁠
