Max Brosi is a professional woodturner based in County Leitrim, Ireland. His acclaimed work spans a range of forms, from tactile vessels to complex abstract sculpture. Highly regarded for his technical mastery and distinctive aesthetic, his pieces have been exhibited widely, including representation in major U.S. galleries, and are held in the permanent collection of The Center for Art in Wood in Philadelphia. He is a recipient of both a National Crafts Award (RDS) and an excellence award from the American Association of Woodturners.
Max Brosi’s creative foundation stems from early, hands-on experiences learning how materials work in the Irish countryside. Following his training at Letterfrack Furniture College, he independently pursued woodturning, inspired by the sculptural possibilities shown by artists like Michael Peterson. This combination of formal technical education and self-directed discovery defines his disciplined approach and allows him to execute his own original designs.
