Cast in bronze, the Midwinter Floor Lamp is inspired by the fireplace in Holkham’s north dining room, which is beautifully illustrated with Aesop’s fables.
The floor lamp is based on the fable ‘The Ant and the Dove’. The characters are carefully moulded in sculptors’ clay by Laura before they are cast in bronze. The height of the lamp is exaggerated by the dove on its high branch looking down upon the ant at the base of the stem.
The Lamp comes with two shades: a plain white paper shade with a deckled edge and a giclée printed Dandelion design by Laura, all complete with black knitted flex and in-line switch.
