Fitched Basket

The Fitched Basket is a contemporary openwork basket that draws inspiration from organic curved forms found in nature, along with the traditional baskets, particularly the weaving technique called 'fitching'. The fitching technique can be seen across European willow basketry, particularly in French basketry. In Britain, it was traditionally seen in East Anglian fishing and agricultural baskets.
