Sculptural English Burr Oak Bench

The Sculptural English Burr Oak Bench features a seat carved from a single piece of English Burr Oak, shaped by hand. The wood displays an array of deep burr oak character throughout with natural edges preserved. The spindles and undercarriage have been hand-turned from carefully selected English Oak with continuous straight grain. Traditional steam bending methods have been used to bend the crest into a flowing curve. Six ancient, 5000-year old English Bog oak pins have been placed in the crest to secure it.
