The Western Red Cedar Bark Basket collection by Nick McMillen is aset of 4 square based baskets, made using the inner bark from cedar trees (Thuja plicata). They vary in size from a 25cm diameter to a larger 55cm.  Nick creates elaborate patterns influenced by scientific advances in biology, mathematics and physics. By merging these concepts with primitive technologies, he wants to explore the advantages and disadvantages of our modern world.
