Sympoiesis Floor Lamp III is sculptural and functional piece, with a stoneware body, by ceramicist Viv Lee. Viv makes vessels as a response to exploring the materiality of clay and the metaphor of body as vessel. Included is a in Pearl Linen.
Rather than seeking perfection in symmetrical forms, Viv finds beauty in asymmetry and the irregularity of the human body. She is inspired by organic shapes in nature such as pebbles and the undulating curve of a branch. When Viv approaches making as a means of connection to self and nature, she appreciates the wonderful diversity of forms that emerge and embraces flaws; accepting them as the beautiful idiosyncrasies that make each vessel unique.
Each piece is fitted as standard with UK plug and 3m beige flex. E27 bulb recommended (not included). International wiring is available, please enquire for further details.
