EXCEPTIONAL BRITISH CRAFT
The New Craftmaker has been established for over 10 years, its ethos is to support British craft heritage through contemporary design and collaborative projects with craftmakers. The company has now been rebranded to The New Craftmaker, to promote a more inclusive craft culture within the company. Our makers’ approaches are varied; however, in unison they reimagine the home environment through incorporating traditional crafting techniques in innovative contemporary design; from weaving wild heather and kiln fired tiling to working by hand on the loom.
For 12 years, The New Craftmaker (formerly The New Craftsmen) has been a platform for celebrating genuine craftsmanship in meaningful design. At the heart of our company are the artisans; our makers are what make us. They are diverse, residing in all corners of the British Isles, and each highly skilled in their craft. Through creative collaborations we present unique collections that celebrate tradition and, simultaneously, innovation in design. As we evolve and grow, we want our company to truly embody who we are and the stories we tell.
The new identity of The New Craftmaker reflects our inclusivity and aligns us with the eclectic, passionate and highly skilled craftspeople we represent. It propels us into a serious and relevant platform for contemporary crafted design and art today. We will evolve our unique collections that purposefully reinvent traditional techniques, across a range of scales - from woven baskets to bespoke furniture commissions and uniquely crafted objects.
